Nora Miller, Principal Interior Designer and Historic Preservationist
Nora’s responsibilities at Southern Evergreen include coordination of all phases of interior design, cabinetry, kitchen design, bath design and historic preservation. She is also a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS).
Nora graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Housing and Interior Design. She also took a curriculum in Historic Preservation Technology.
She brings a diverse knowledge of architecture and culture, which she sources from the 18 places she has lived around the world.
As a renowned Historic Preservationist, Nora works closely with Preservation Greensboro Incorporated (PGI) and the State Historic Preservation Office (SHIPO) to preserve North Carolina’s treasured places.
Nora is a co-author of Summerfield’s National Register Historic District nomination and a member of the team that updated Alamance County’s Historic Architecture Survey.
Several years ago, her knowledge helped Randolph County rebuild the historic 1911 Pisgah Church Covered Bridge, which was damaged by a tremendous flood.
Nora resides in Greensboro and has two adult daughters.
